Friday--last day

It has been a great week.  I really appreciated the gentle delving deeper into content.  Also appreciated the willingness of the instructors to clarify for us using various methods of questioning us, but also just telling us when it was appropriate.  Love all the tech tools--I get to have a computer-based classroom and will really use the tools from this week.  I really can't think of anything I would have changed this week except some protein at breakfast, but I just ate that at the hotel, so it really was not a problem.  Earl Grey tea would have been nice!:).
I think that is it--thanks again.

Thursday Arrived and flew

Great get day today. I always love tech based days.  Typical glitches that eventually resolved.  I am very excited for a web-based classroom this year.  Have lots of resources for running my class now.
I can't really think of anything for the organizers to change--it has been a good week so far.  I have liked the blend of tech and science.  I did talk with Ralph today about a method of content depth we did at the coaches training through the msp from Western with Pinkie.  It was a bit different technique--a bit more focused on bringing our content up to late high school/early college.  The physical science classes did increase my understanding of the content, but it is my very weak area of science.  I presented during the biology sessions, so don't know how those went as far as depth.
Great day

Wednesday

It was great to explore force and motion again with the rockets.  The math was a great review for me.  What a great model for small schools in team work.  The ice cream lab was fun and I really appreciated the review of how solutes are surrounded by water molecules.  It was nice to finally understand the energy gains/losses depend on amount of molecules.  It was fun to present with Todd.  We had not really presented together before.  Can't think of what I would have changed today.  I really appreciated all the content review in physical sciences.

Tuesday of MSP

Busy day today--used motion sensors to measure the force of gravity.  A bit over my head with the science.  I had a great team mate who really understood the science which really helped.  The discussion in the afternoon helped also.
I got to present in the afternoon.  It was fun and everyone seemed to understand and participate.  I was glad it was two hours and not more.  I am looking forward to the discussion tomorrow.

MSP morning 2011

Just spent the morning playing with cars in the Force and Motion session. This is my hardest content area, so was really glad to see the topic. A bit stretching to read the graphs and begin to understand vectors and velocity. I liked running the computer. The graphs and using my fingers to measure really did help. I am looking forward to delving a bit deeper into the mouse trap cars next year.
